The Boat Wilhelm

Our boat formerly known as "Værbitt"(Weathered), we have renamed the "Wilhelm". Named after Halvards old uncle who was captain of the world's oldest sailing schooner "Anna Rogde". Wilhelm is a Baltic 37CR from 1980. An old IOR, which in its time was designed to combine high performance, comfort and an easy manageable boat capable offshore racing as well as offshore cruising. By size, it can be best described as a "small one-tonner". A traditional Baltic Yachts-building designed by C & C. But with forberinger targeting upwind and downwind performance, especially in medium to light wind conditions. It was built 51 boats from 1978 to 1983.

It has already been on a long trip, and has been with the ARC race that runs from Gran Canaria to the Caribbean every year. Since the previous owners had to sell it in Panama, we got a good price on the boat, and they brought it up to New York for us. Halvard was not heavy to ask when the ship had sailed home across the Atlantic
